About Me
Hi! My name is Andrew Knott and I am a dad, writer, and ambiguity enthusiast from central Florida. I have written for publications such as McSweeney's, Washington Post, Scary Mommy, Parents, and published my first book in 2016. I was a Spotlight Blogger at the 2018 Dad 2.0 Summit in New Orleans and speaker on a humor writing panel in 2019 in San Antonio.
I started a blog a few months before my wife and I moved from Florida to England in 2010. I did this for two reasons: 1) It was 2010 and about 3 or 4 years before 2010 blogging was really big and 2) I was pretty sure all my friends and family (i.e., my mom and like no one else) would be interested in reading about our experiences abroad.
Before we left, I got a jump on things by writing about Qdoba and general coolness (you can read about some of those exciting times in the Archives or if you're really ambitious and bored you can take a deep dive into the past at knottjustablog.blogspot.com). Then we did the Europe thing for a year and moved back to Florida. After that, the blog really went off the rails. Oh yeah, and we had two kids.
In late 2014, I made a miraculous return to the blogosphere. And then we had another kid in 2016. That’s it. No more kids.
Make sure to check out my Facebook page for more fun content. If you like anything you see here, I will love you unconditionally and forever if you share it via any method you choose. If you have any comments, suggestions, or general praise, I'd love to hear from you. All the relevant contact information is here. Drop me a line (I would say give me a call, but let's be real, I don't talk on the phone).
Finally, if you would like me to write for you or would like to discuss advertising opportunities, let's talk!
Thanks for reading!
I accidentally threw away my 4-year-old’s favorite candy wrapper. Please keep us both in your thoughts during this difficult time.
